Luxury Hotels in Dubai

Hotels in Dubai are known by many as the most luxurious and expensive hotels. It has the rank of world’s highest Hotel occupancy rate compared to other countries around the whole world. In Dubai, the occupancy rate of the hotel is around 86% which is the highest in Dubai. According to the survey in 1993, there were total of 9,383 rooms in the 167 hotels of the city which increased significantly. By the time of 2002, the number of rooms were doubled to 23, 170. As the number of visitors increases, so does the number of rooms. By 2005, there were as much as 29,000 rooms. The trend was carried as the number of rooms in 2008 was 43,420 with total guests of 6,105,813; in 2009, 58,188 and in 2010 the number jumped to 67,369 rooms. On average, 9,180 rooms were added each year because of the greater demands and the need for accommodation for tourists from around the world. In 2010, as much as 8, 684, 387 guests were received by Dubai. If compared to 2009, there was an increase of 7,845,819 guests. The occupancy rate in 2010 was approximately 81% which increased from 67.2%. The total revenues for hotel in 2010 was AED 6,888,478 as per stated by the department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The top five star hotels includes Burj Al Arab which has 205 rooms, Atlantis , the Palm which has 1539 rooms, Al Bustan Rotana Hotel with a total of 275 rooms and Al Maha Desert Resort. The Atlantis which is situated at the Palm Jumerirah and Burj Al Arab which is located at the Jumeirah Beach Road are one of the most expensive and luxurious hotels in the world.

Burj Al Arab is the 4th tallest hotel in the world with a height of 321 m. It stands on an man-made artificial island from the Jumeirah Beach and is connected to the main city by a curving bridge. The shape of the structure resembles the design of a ship which has now become the symbol for Dubai. It is also popularly known as the ‘Only Seven Star Hotel in world’.
